We’re a small team, but right now three of our colleagues are in training. Here’s why we believe investing in people is one of the best decisions a firm like ours can make.

At Celtic Financial Planning, we’ve always believed that great advice comes from people who have been properly trained, supported and given the time to learn. So while it might surprise some to hear that a small independent financial advice firm in North Wales currently has three trainees, to us it makes perfect sense.

WHY WE GROW TALENT IN HOUSE

The financial advice profession needs a new generation of skilled, qualified people. Rather than simply hoping they appear, we’ve chosen to grow talent in house and play our part in investing in the future of our industry.

Growing our own team also means every new colleague learns our way of doing things from day one: putting clients’ interests first, explaining things in plain English, and taking the time to get it right.

MEET OUR TRAINEES

LUCY
Apprentice

Lucy is our first ever apprentice, and this is her first full-time job. She’s working towards a Business Administration NVQ while learning on the job, building the organisational skills that keep a busy advice firm running smoothly, and getting a real feel for how financial planning works behind the scenes.

MEGAN
Trainee Paraplanner

Megan has been part of the Celtic team for over seven years, and her next step is training as a paraplanner. Her course is developing her research and analysis skills alongside report writing: the detailed technical work that sits behind every recommendation we make.

Sam Arshad-Roberts

SAM
Trainee Financial Planner

Sam is our newest recruit, joining us as a trainee financial planner. He’ll be learning the whole advice process from start to finish, and is starting to sit in on client meetings, seeing first-hand how we get to know our clients and the goals that matter to them.

SAM AND THE CHESTER CONNECTION

Sam is from Chester, and he’s keen to work with professionals in Chester and the surrounding area. Whether you’re a business owner, a company director or building your career in the city, Sam wants to help you get your finances working as hard as you do.

He’s already putting down roots in the local business community. Sam has started a tennis networking club, bringing people together for a game and a conversation away from the desk, and he runs the Celtic Fantasy Football League. If you’d like to join either, or simply talk about your plans over a coffee, he’d love to hear from you.

INVESTING FOR THE LONG TERM

Training doesn’t stop here. We’ll be investing in further qualifications for Lucy, Megan and Sam as they progress, with the backing of our experienced, Chartered team every step of the way.

For our clients, this means continuity: a team that grows alongside you, understands your circumstances and will be here for the long term. It also reflects what we stand for as a B Corp. We believe a good business invests in its people and its community, not just its bottom line.

Please join us in wishing Lucy, Megan and Sam every success with their studies.
