Celtic Financial Planning Publishes ESG Report 2026

At Celtic Financial Planning, we have always believed that good business should be about more than profit alone. That belief has shaped how we support our clients, our team, our local community and the environment since day one.

We are proud to announce the publication of our new ESG Report 2026, highlighting the progress we have made across environmental, social and governance initiatives over the past 12 months.

A Major Milestone: Becoming a Certified B Corporation

One of the standout moments of the past year was achieving Certified B Corporation status in March 2026. Achieving a B Corp score of 90.8, significantly above the required threshold of 80, recognised the standards and culture we have worked hard to build over many years.

The report explains how the certification process validated our long standing commitment to:

  • Putting clients first
  • Acting responsibly
  • Creating positive impact beyond profit

As our founder and managing director Rob Lewis explains in the report:

“We’ve always believed in doing business in the right way.”

Remaining a Carbon Positive Business

Our ESG Report also outlines how we continue to operate as a carbon positive business, offsetting more emissions than we generate. Some key highlights include:

  • 2,385 native trees planted through our partnership with the North Wales Wildlife Trust
  • Estimated annual carbon capture of approximately 21,640kg
  • Purchase of 10 tonnes of Gold Standard Verified Emission Reductions (VERs) supporting international sustainability projects

The report also details our ongoing commitment to sustainable operations, including:

  • 100% renewable electricity usage
  • Hybrid working
  • Reducing single-use plastics
  • Digital first communication and reduced printing

Supporting Communities Across North Wales

Community engagement remains a major part of our identity as a business.

Over the past year alone, we donated approximately £7,500 to charities, grassroots sports teams and community organisations across North Wales. The report also highlights:

  • Sponsorship of local sports teams and schools
  • Charity fundraising initiatives
  • The success of the Celtic Charity Ball
  • The ongoing growth of the Celtic Community Network

We were also incredibly proud to win the Community Engagement Award at the Green Expo Awards 2025, following previous recognition from the Federation of Small Businesses Wales.

Investing in People and Financial Education

The ESG Report highlights our commitment to supporting both our team and the wider community through education and wellbeing initiatives.

This includes:

  • Launching Fincate, our free financial education platform for young people aged 12+
  • Funding professional qualifications and development opportunities
  • Operating a four-day hybrid working week with no reduction in pay
  • Supporting team wellbeing through regular initiatives and charitable activities

Thank You to Outwrite PR

A special thank you goes to fellow Mold based business Outwrite PR for helping us bring this report together.

Their support and expertise played an important role in helping us communicate our ESG journey clearly and professionally, and we are grateful for their contribution to the project.

Looking Ahead

While we are proud of the progress highlighted within the ESG Report 2026, we see this as the beginning rather than the finish line. Our future priorities include:

  • Increasing ESG and ethical investments across client portfolios
  • Expanding financial education initiatives into more schools
  • Growing biodiversity and environmental projects
  • Continuing to invest in our team and community impact
  • Exploring future sustainability projects, including a purpose-built eco-friendly office

As a business, we remain committed to leading by example and continuing to demonstrate that strong financial planning and responsible business practices can go hand in hand.
